Dear Floyds Knobs Elementary Community,
We are entering the new school year at a time of tremendous change and uncertainty, reeling from the combined forces of pandemic and economic recession. Many students in Floyd County face an even more basic obstacle to their academic success – not having enough to eat. That’s where Floyd County Blessings in a Backpack comes in. Blessings in a Backpack is a nonprofit that works to ensure that Floyd County children who rely on school for meals don’t go hungry on the weekends or over breaks. We are looking for new members to help guide our organization as we head into the new year. We are teachers and school administrators, parents and students, business owners and employees.
